Today I bought a box of scrap fabric from the local tailoring shop. I want to make quilts. But I have no idea how to make it. May be I will figure it out somehow. Please share if you have any suggestion or best practice tips.
Wash and machine dry all fabric before you start cutting (so as to get the shrinkage over with). My first quilt was simply strips of squares sewn together -- pretty easy to do.
Yes - there are some very simple strip techniques that can produce a lovely quilt - do you have an idea as to any pattern of style that appeals to you?
Second hand stores have lots of moth eaten and stained linens with scraps of embroidery on them. I hate to embroider, so I sew the pretty parts onto sturdier fabric and use them when making crazy quilts. Good luck!
