Reenie 360/365
Heather, my favorite server in my kitchen, took this photo today as people
were starting to settle in to eat. I'm on the left side. Most the group was
outdoors on my screened porch. BTW, anymore I hire someone to help me
entertain because I don't maneuver as well as I used to. I wish I could
still do it all by myself, but those days are gone. The luncheon was a
terrific success. There were 14 of us. We ate a lot, talked a lot, and
laughed a lot.

That is a beautiful room, Reenie. Very inviting.
I was just going to say the same thing - love it!
Me three!
So many are blessed to be your friend, to know you. Your heart seems so big, friendly, inviting - just like the room you invite them into.
Thank you all. These women are very dear to my heart. Their backstories are filled with bad choices, irresponsible homes, and then more bad choices. There is a huge force of volunteers working hard to open new opportunities to these women. I'm lucky to have such an intimate relationship with them. I think the real hereos are those who drive many hundreds of miles each year to get these women to visitations, court appearances, church, AA & NA meetings, medical appointments - the list is endless. Blue Monarch is tucked deep in the rolling hills of TN - not convenient to major roadways, so transportation is a huge issue. As usual, I'm yakking too much. It's just that I love my work there.
Thank you all for your kind words. xoxo Reens
