Sadly, it was my mom's last day visiting today. We went on a trip on the London Eye with my boyfriend's family. Here is a view of one of the other "pods."
Doesn't it make you laugh how you sometimes have to have visitors to see some parts of the city in which you live? It happens to me in Montreal ALL the time...

My daughter got some really fun shots of herself on the London Eye during her visit last summer.
This is awesome!

I get dizzy just looking at it. Hmmm, but people think I'm dizzy anyway. :)
I had no idea the "pods" were so big on this thing! I haven't been to London since it was installed, so I would love to see it whenever I visit next.
The pods get hot! They are re-furbishing them one by one with air conditioning, to be completed by 2012.
Dawn - too true! I lived in NYC during school and it was the same phenomenon.
Gretch - they take 16 people each.
Reenie - surprisingly vertigo was not too bad for me, except when I stood by the door. Even though I knew it was locked it seemed risky...
I'm nauseated just looking at it.
