My German girl is very sick. I took her to an emergency vet this morning, and he found a large mass in her abdomen -- probably cancer. I will find out more tomorrow when I take her to my regular vet for x-rays and a work-up. Very sad day for me. The waiting is hard.

Oh, Linda, I understand how you feel right now. I wish I could be with you while you wait.
I wish I could write something that will make this all be better. I hope your vet appointment went well and I hope little Heidi is feeling better. We love you & we are sending positive thoughts both to you & Heidi.
Poor Heidi, Poor Linda...I've been there's it's awful and terrible not being able to help them. I hope Heidi is feeling better and you find out something soon. much love ~
Heather and the pooper
poor baby. I'm sorry Linda.
These furry creatures worm their way into our hearts and it hurts when they are sick.
Oh, I'm sorry!
I'm so sad for you.
The prognosis from my regular vet today was not good. We are waiting for test results that will take a day or two before we know for sure. At this moment, she is holding her own -- no better or worse.
Thank you, Ladies, for your kind, supportive words. I sincerely appreciate it.
Did the vet say it was hemangiosarcoma? That's what got our shepherd.
Oh, Linda, I wish I could make it all go away!
Oh, no!! This makes me cry. Hugs for both of you.
Aw, I'm so sorry.
So very sorry to hear that! I know from experience how hard and stressful it is when the pets we love are sick. I hope all goes well, and your girl is better soon.
Thanks again, Ladies. You're a great supportive bunch.
Yes, Sarabeth, that's exactly what the vet said it most likely is. He said it's common to the breed. She's my 4th German girl, but the first to get this.
(((hug)))
