En route to the airport, I got to spend a few (too few) hours with one of my oldest friends, Karen, who was in Buffalo for a family reunion. Many beers were consumed before I had to go; a few laughs, a few tears for her current family situation (her son OD'd and is in a vegetative state, she is deciding whether to remove the feeding tube; her daughter tried to commit suicide a few weeks ago; husband not supportive...) It certainly put my own minor complaints in perspective. Love ya, honey!

Man, I'm glad you were there to give her some support she needed. I hope things start looking up for her! Glad you were able to see her for a short time before you headed home.
She's had some pretty dark days and it looks like more to come. I'm glad you were there for her. xo
