This year I have heard so much about plums. I even made a plum tart a few weeks back. My aunt *put up* a zillion jars of plum jam. Is this the year of the plum? Have plums been the forgotten fruit until now? Or am I a beat behind the band looking for my baton?
We've had good old Stanley (our stanley plum tree) growing in our yard for 10 years now. Some years, like this one, we get a million plums. Some years we only get a few. I'm looking forward to tomorrow afternoon when the birthday party is in our back yard & the kids get to snack from the tree. I love exposing kids to food direct from nature.
