Ordered this cake online today for my father. It is to be delivered next
week. He is getting retired next week and feeling a bit low. So I ordered
this cake to surprise him and cheer him up. I am not very vocal about my
love for my dad but I think I love him now more than I did when I was
younger. I couldn’t be a mother but my daughter taught me to be a better
daughter.

Yeah Linda my entire perspective has changed. Generally I dont talk about her and I keep my emotions pretty much under control on this topic. But not sure why , I am missing her and remembering her more than anything since last few days. Its going to be difficult for me now. I just wish she can feel from wherever she is , that I remember her in everything I do. Everyday.
She came into your life and shaped it, helped you learn. She is with you every day. Every minute. How could she not be there? She is part of you.
May your father enjoy his retirement, find joy in this new beginning in his life.
