First evening of a week-long Shakerag workshop I'm attending with 10 others. The workshop is being conducted by Harrell Fletcher, a noted activist through art. His topic is Art and Social Practice. Shakerag is a remarkable mountain event founded 6 years ago and held at a local preparatory school, St. Andrew's Sewanee. There are two one-week sessions, which include bookbinding, clay, beading, creating mud fabric, and many other delicious choices, as well as enticing guest lecturers each evening.

You have such an interesting life. Can I come live with you? I'll do the cooking and cleaning.
I am jealous. This is exactly the type of thing I want to do. I'm sure you realize how blessed you are to live the life you live. Again...I am jealous!
Thanks so much, but none of it came easy. You all are still so young and hopefully will make better life choices than I did. In hindsight, I wouldn't change a thing - but I do wish I'd moved to the mountain much sooner. Especially instead of marrying my nitwit second husband.
I do love my life - just about every moment. xoxo
wow that workshop sounds like so much fun! i'd love to try out all those art/craft sessions! have lots of fun!
