I have one for you that I picked up in Greece. Olive oil (of course), onion, fresh garlic and bacon (yes, bacon) sauted, then add tomatoes and simmer for a while to let it cook down and add more olive oil. Serve over pasta. The bacon is the key and I would never have thought to use it.
