Today was my 36 week doctors appointment and this was what I received from the office. Sample packs of Similac and lots of magazines, some sample lotion and other things, very nice.

You'd think doctor office's would be giving out breast pumps, nursing pads and all sorts of stuff like that. I find it so sad that they're slaves to the almighty dollar over what is best for baby.

Marie, there are OB offices where formula salesmen/women are banned, which means that the women don't get a cute bag with all that stuff.

I refused the gifts and suggested to my OB with my second baby that they shouldn't hand these things out. For the third, they had made the change to no sponsored gifts.

That's spectacular, Sarabeth! I think maybe when it's time to find a new doctor I take that into consideration.
