They fought for hours, spankings were doled out, I put them in their room and instructed them to sink or swim. This is what I found the next morning.
Love my kids.

Is that a note from an actual certified teacher? I'm sure her heart is in the right place, but I'd be concerned about anyone teaching my children who didn't know how to spell "grammar" and "having!" Good luck to Alice in catching up with her schoolwork.
Nope Gretchen, the girls were playing school and Jacelyn administered some spelling and math tests that were age appropriate for Alice. This was her "report card" for the evening, along with the "tests" that Alice did fabulously on!
That's awesome. Exactly the type of thing I used to do with my knucklehead little brother.
That is simply beautiful. They get it, don't they? Deep down, anyway, even if they can't completely keep it under control in their day to day life. Just a matter of time, now. And, continued reinforcing lessons.
Ohhhh, she said, feeling ever so DUMM! Sorry! I didn't put 2+2 together! Now I am impressed! That was a very grownup thing to do, I'd say!
That is really cool, Sarah. Looks to me like they'll be just fine.
And I'm gonna try that trick with my stepdaughters, 13 and 15, next time they get in each other's faces...
I love Jacelyn. She is a sweet, special person.
