We had an all-day retreat for the faculty in my department out at Touch of
Nature. After lunch, I took a walk toward the lake, and came upon the
"chapel". A very peaceful spot.

It does look very peaceful.
I attend several personal retreats each year. Though I live alone with delicious solitude and serenity - the retreat 100% detaches me from technology and stuff and I love it. I always return home renewed.
This spot is lovely. I'm not religious, but find comfort in religious symbols of all faiths.
